Finally, the wait is over. Recently, Bing started showing AI search information in its Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google doesn’t want to be outdone. Starting June 3, 2026, Google begins testing “Generative AI” reports in the tool for marketers and SEO specialists in Google Search Console.
SEO specialists have long been noticing the emergence of a new trend: zero-click impressions, which means impressions are increasing while click counts are decreasing, those valuable clicks that keep domains alive. The main reason is the rise of AI, specifically AI Overview in Google search, which feeds visitors answers before they click on a page and look up information themselves. This very controversial model (if it stays this way, it won’t end well) literally robs domains of visitors.
Google knows why it doesn’t show concrete information about how many people get “satisfied” in search, because those numbers could be a very unpleasant discovery for domain owners. Now, Google, probably also under pressure from domain owners and from Bing, is finally loosening up slightly and will start offering AI statistics information related to keywords connected with your domain.
Why is this important for marketers, SEO specialists, and content strategists?
✅ Finally, you’ll find out how often your URLs appear in generative AI
✅ You’ll find out which pages AI highlights
✅ You’ll track AI visibility at the geographic level and device level
✅ You’ll track AI performance trends over time
For now, this is set up in test mode among selected domains. At the time of writing this article, we don’t see this feature in our console or among clients. According to Google’s statements, however, this new tool will start appearing for an ever-larger number of users until global rollout occurs. We don’t know the exact date. If you have experience with this, don’t hesitate to share your insights in our comment section under the article.
